The first two sessions will look at the story of the different sons of God throughout biblical history, and even before it: God the Son himself in eternity, Adam in the garden and expelled from it, Adamic humanity as God’s offspring, Israel as God’s son, her kings as God’s sons, God the Son incarnate, and the redeemed as sons and children of God.

This session will go deeper on the nature of adoption itself. What is it? Where do we look to understand it? How is it the work of the triune God, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit? How does adoption relate to being regenerate and justified?
