A dizzying variety of ways of approaching Scripture claim validity for themselves, especially in academic circles. On what basis are we to assess them? Indeed, do we even have the right to assess someone else’s approach? This session aims to think through some knotty hermeneutical questions by opening up the ethics of responsible interpretation.
