For most international students a UK degree means that, when we go home, we will be leaders in our community, family, work or business. What does it mean to be a leader? Leadership styles differ a lot across the world, but Jesus’ example of true leadership is not just an inspiring model for us, it is also a picture to help us understand what his death on the cross means.
Following Jesus means doing what he did and taught, and that means obeying him, which is not easy. At the moment we may be surrounded by Christian friends and have more free time, but faced with life back home, work pressure and family life, obeying Jesus may seem almost impossible.
